Coffee
as a finished product |
 |
| |
| |
|
| Consumed
locally and nationally, Cafe Diria is 100% pure coffee.
|
|
 |
| The
fine balance of acidity, body and aroma, contribute to
its excellent flavour. |
|
| |
| |
|
|
In
order to add value to our product and to make coffee growing
more profitable, especially with prices on the world coffee
market so low, Coope Pilangosta has created their own brand
of roasted coffee called Cafe Diriá. |
|
| You
have at least 2 Great reasons to drink Café Diriá |
1The
guarantee that you are consuming an authentic product, 100%
pure, and excellent quality.
2The
satisfaction in knowing that you are contributing to the
families of small coffee farmers, helping them to live with
dignity and recieve a fair price for the work that they
do daily to bring you your cup of coffee.

Dried Coffee |
 |
Coopepilangosta
also hopes to launch a new brand of coffee, dried only by solar
energy. Right now much of Coope Pilangosta’s coffee is
dried in this manner and the idea is to expand it and search
out niche markets, and clients who value all of the work they
do to keep their project natural and sustainable. |

| Guaranteed
Quality: Certification
of an Integrated System
|
| In
2001, Coopepilangosta obtained ISO 9002 certification. This
system of international certification ensures that strict standards
are met and that the entire production process is closely scrutinized
from beginning to end. This certification allows for a greater
sense of trust to develop between the producers and the consumers.
|
|
 |
|
| The
certification has also allowed Coope Pilangosta to work towards
a new organizational culture, based on the continuous search
for improvements that will benefit the associates, producers,
clients and the community in general. |
|
| Coope
Pilangosta is also working to achieve ISO 140001 certification
for their efforts to work in harmony with the natural
environment. |
|
| |
|
 |
In
growing and processing the coffee, Coope Pilangosta makes
a great effort to do it in the most environmentally friendly
way possible. We are in the process of moving towards a fully
sustainable agricultural model and all of our producers already
use organic soil, made from the recycled husks of coffee cherries.
They have also introduced diverse varieties of shade trees,
incorporated organic materials, and limited the use of harmful
chemicals.
|
|
This
model of agro-conservation ensures that the producers and
their families can grow their crops in a way that is healthier
for them, the consumers and the earth. |
