COOCAFE R.L.

The Consortium of Coffee Growers Cooperatives of Guanacaste and Montes de Oro R.L. (COOCAFE R.L.) is an economic integrating organizations working as a second degree cooperative, seeking integral solutions to general problems and the creation of development options.

COOCAFE was founded on January 23, 1988 with the support of Consultoría Agroeconómica, consulting firm ascribed to the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, a German international cooperation organization.

The Consortium is comprised of ten coffee cooperatives located throughout several areas of Costa Rica, which join more than 6,200 small coffee growers and their families.
